After breakfast, we have an optional half-day boat tour to the Budva Coast, Petrovac, and Sveti Stefan (75 euros). On this tour, we start our journey by boarding our private boat from the Budva coast. First, we stop for swimming at Sveti Nikola (Hawai) Island, and then we continue to Sveti Stefan Island for another swimming break. Continuing our journey by boat, we arrive at the charming town of Petrovac. We spend approximately 2 hours on the private boat. Petrovac, a small tourist town on the Adriatic Sea, is also one of Montenegro’s oldest coastal towns. We take advantage of the sea and sun on the Petrovac beaches. After a free lunch, we depart by land with a private vehicle from Petrovac. On the way back, we see Sveti Stefan from the land with its extraordinary views. Sveti Stefan, which was once a fisherman’s settlement, was nationalized many years ago and later sold to a Singaporean hotel chain, making it a tourist destination today through restoration works. In the 15th century, it was a village protected by walls and remained a fishing town until the 1950s. Sveti Stefan Island was a popular spot for celebrities like Sofia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Liz Taylor during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. We stop for a photo opportunity at a panoramic viewpoint of Sveti Stefan and then return to Budva. Overnight stay is at our hotel.
After breakfast, free time. For those who wish, we offer a Full Day Tour to Sveti Stefan, Montenegro’s former Royal Capital Cetinje, a Boat Tour on Lake Skadar in Virpazar, and a Late Lunch Tour of Stari Bar (140 Euro). We start this tour with the famous island of Sveti Stefan, where we will stop for photos at a viewpoint with an extraordinary view of Sveti Stefan. Once a fishermen's settlement, Sveti Stefan was nationalized and later sold to a Singaporean hotel chain, becoming a tourist attraction through restoration works. In the 15th century, it was a village protected by walls. Until the 1950s, Sveti Stefan Island was a fishing village and was frequented by celebrities such as Sofia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Liz Taylor in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Next, we will explore Cetinje, the former royal capital of Montenegro. During our walking tour here, we will see the former Turkish Consulate, the small Cetinje Square, King Nikola’s house, and the historical Serbian Orthodox monastery. Continuing on, we will head to the town of Virpazar. In this charming town overlooking Lake Skadar, we will enjoy a pleasant boat ride in the Skadar Lake National Park. You will have the chance to taste the famous Montenegrin wines on the boat. It will also be a lovely privilege to see pelicans in Lake Skadar, which is the largest lake in the Balkans and home to around 250 different bird species. Afterward, we visit Stari Bar, where we will see the oldest settlement of Bar city, which was part of the Ottoman Empire for about 400 years. Passing through the town of Bar, we will reach the Londsa Hill in Stari Bar, where we will enjoy the wonderful Ottoman architecture, the various civilizations from its past, and views of a beautiful green valley on one side and the Rumija Mountains on the other. At Stari Bar, we will have a late lunch featuring a traditional platter where we will experience Montenegrin-Ottoman-Albanian cuisine.
