Aynalıgöl Cave, also known as Gilindire Cave, is located in the Aydıncık district of Mersin, between Sancak Point and Kurtini Stream. The cave's entrance faces the sea and can be accessed from both sea and land. It is a horizontally developed cave with a total length of approximately 555 meters. The interior is lined with various natural stalactite formations. The cave was declared a Nature Monument in 2013 and was registered as Gilindire Cave Nature Park in 2020.
In Anamur district of Mersin, located along the Mediterranean coast, Mamure Castle is one of the well-preserved Turkish castles. Built on high cliffs and plains, the castle was constructed on ancient foundations like many Anatolian castles. The ancient foundations made of large cut stones have not been precisely dated or attributed to specific builders. The castle consists of three parts: the inner courtyard enclosed by high walls in the east, the outer castle to the west, and the inner castle built on the rocks south of these sections.
Anemurium Ancient City is located in the district of Anamur in Mersin. During antiquity, it was one of the important port settlements in the western part of the mountainous region of Cilicia. Positioned along the Eastern Mediterranean trade route, the city also facilitated access from inland settlements of Anatolia to the sea. For this reason, it held strategic value and significance especially during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The name Anemurium is used in ancient sources and means "windy place.
